Pet Sit Policies

  • Pet sits are made between 7:30am-8:30pm unless there are unusual scheduling circumstances on your behalf or ours
  • We make every effort to return all inquires by phone or email within 48 hours
  • We do not do overnights, grooming, puppy-care or alternate day visits (i.e. a cat that only needs a visit every other day)
  • We reserve the right to decline any assignment in which there is concern due to animal behavior, home or neighborhood safety, or any other related issue that we feel could be potentially dangerous
  • We ask you to please call us as soon as conveniently possible to alert us you’ve returned home, if we do not hear from you by your next scheduled visit – we must call you to assure that your pet is not in need
  • For assignments 10 days or longer we ask for 1/2 of your bill before departure, the balance upon return
  • We are happy to keep a copy of your key with only your pet’s name on it (no address or your name for security purposes) so that you only need to call us to schedule the next visit.  If you would prefer your key returned, we can arrange that along with payment for services
  • Keys cannot be left inside your house after our last visit in case your return is delayed and we need to make additional unscheduled visits
  • We cannot always guarantee visits within a specific timeframe due to unforeseen factors such as weather, traffic, vehicles, etc. but we always do our best to make sure our visits are timely and within a reasonable timetable
  • For dog walks please provide materials to remove waste from the walking route.  We do not want any potential confrontations with your neighbors, other walkers, etc.
  • We might ask if you would be willing to write a brief reference for us to include in our Presentation Book that we show all potential clients.  You are free to decline but we will be appreciative of anyone willing to submit a reference
  • In the highly unlikely event that we are unable to fulfill a scheduled pet sit due to an unforeseen emergency, we will arrange for substitute care for your pet and will notify you as soon as possible if that will be an ongoing arrangement
  • Any returned check fees are the responsibility of the client, and the fee and original amount due must be paid in cash
